Friday Leads Challenge Issue #77

Happy New Year.
Before we jump into tactics, let me say this plainly.
If 2025 felt noisy,
confusing, or inconsistent in your lead flow,
you’re not alone.
Most people didn’t lose leads last year because they lacked skill.
They lost them because trust eroded quietly.
Not dramatically.
Silently.
So here’s a simple reset you can use
this first week of the year
.
No pitch.
No announcement.
No ‘new year offer’ energy.
Just trust.
Most coaches try to
prove
credibility.
But credibility works better when it’s
assumed
, not explained.
Here’s what I mean.
Instead of posting.
‘I help clients do X, Y, Z.’
Or messaging:
‘Let me know if you need help with”
Try this once.
Share a decision you made recently, and
why
.
That’s it.
For example:
‘Turned down a project this week.
Good money, wrong timing.
Learned the hard way last year that saying yes to
everything kills focus.’
Or:
‘Refined how I qualify calls this month.
Fewer conversations.
Better outcomes.’
No CTA.
No offer.
No explanation.
Why this works:
People don’t trust expertise.
They trust
judgment
.
Judgment signals experience.
Experience signals safety.
And safety is what opens conversations.
What happens next is predictable:
Someone replies:
‘Curious, how do you decide that?’
Or:
‘I struggle with this too.’
Now the conversation is earned.
Not forced.
Try this in the next 48 hours.
One post.
One message.
One real decision.
Let people infer your authority instead of asking them to believe it.
That’s how trust compounds, quietly.
Talk soon,
Sandeep Mukhi
