How ‘Warm Commenting’ Beats Cold Outreach Every Time

Most people hate cold outreach.

Because it feels… cold.

But there’s a smarter way to do it.

Start with engagement.

How?

Pick a platform where you have built an audience.

Let’s say it’s LinkedIn.

Start leaving smart, helpful comments on their posts.

Not “Great post.”

Not “Totally agree.”

Instead,

Add a perspective.

Ask a question.

Give a useful thought.

Do this for 3–4 days.

They’ll notice you.

Now, send a DM.

But don’t pitch.

Start with this:

“Hey, I’ve been reading your posts lately. Really liked your point on ……. Curious—are you working on ……….. right now?”

That’s it.

No link.

No offer.

Just curiosity.

It opens the door.

They reply.

Now, you move the conversation forward.

You ask a better question.

You drop one helpful insight.

And only then do you offer to help more.

This works because it’s not a pitch.

It’s a conversation.

It doesn’t feel like sales.

It feels like service.

You’re not cold-calling.

You’re warm-commenting.

Try it today.

Pick 5 people.

Start engaging.

And in 5 days, message them.

Let me know how it goes.
